Something neat

As some of you may know, my academic focus is on the different ways advertising and marketing impact both the individual and society. One avenue I am interested in is how marketing relies on showing us the 'unreal' while, simultaneaously, convincing the audience that they are seeing real life. In that same vein, Dove has started on the 'Campaign for Real Beauty' which uses average people to sell their products and for a number of reasons (which I will not enumerate here) fascinates me.

For instance, check out this video they put together of a model going from regular everyday person to billboard material. I think it is one of the best ads I have ever seen.
